being 20... something!
Phew, everytime, i hear it i get right into my defense shell.I am heavily armed, and weapons that loudly state : STAY AWAY!
the most annoying are the relatives, they get hold of all these "RISHTAYS" and (un) suitable suitors, and ask me to make friends .. and also make the statement : NO PRESSURE.. strangely they all are sitting on top of me and pinned me to the ground.
But i wont go down so easily :) although i am not quiet sure how to make them realise: MY LIFE!
So anyway, why blame them alone.. there are friends who i bump into and theya swell ask the same question!
its like there are these set of question that are askjed when you reach a certain age!
in school it was : how were your exams
college it was : what do u plan on doing with your life?
By the tie im in mid 20's : it is WHen are you getting married?
and the few ones that are coming in the near future is ?
how is your husband? when are u guys having a baby? how is the baby? oh so good to see you which class is ur kid in?
where is your kid studying? and then it shall revert back to when is ur kid getting married ?
i for once would like toput a full stop to these dumb social questions that makes no sense and is an absolute breach of privacy!
why dont talk about other things for once?
besides, the rent cheques, the office politics, and a total blow in the face that life gives you once your twenty the last straw that you need is : (un)suitable suitors.
Its hard enough to make ur parents understand, and then the dreaded relatives!
okay i think im done with my over reacting!

the colours of life.
LIFE...as we know shall cease to exist soon. How soon?? humanity has already become endangered.
Sit down and ask yourself what is happiness. Some will say, food, some shall say money, some shall say art, some shall say love, some shall say work, for some its children, and so on and so forth.
The answer is peace.
peace is what we all seek. True knowledge. This is what what all our forefather were out to look for.
look at what we have achieved today : nuke bombs, computer programmed triggers for it, processed food, beauty as we know is decided by our surgeons. Comic books are soon going to be obsolete.
Did i hear novels? oh that my friend has been replaced by page 3...the rich, how they live thier meaningless life seems to be of significance importance.
music? ah well yes...HIPHOP dont you know that cursing names, and adressing women as sex object is the latest trends? Love? oh its so old fashioned. now its the era of moving on...
free world, free love ...oh but we all are bleeding in our own inflicted wounds. Why should we blame only a sector of guys who in the name of religion is getting fun in eradicating a few hundred thousand lives.Country leaders..fighting for a comman cause : EGO.
look wat demarkation of land and property has done? brothers killing brothers.
read on the following..
Hindus believe that human civilization degenerates spiritually throughout the Kali Yuga: it is mostly referred to as the Dark Age, mainly because people are the furthest possible from God. The description of Kali Yuga given below is an indication of its interpretive relevance in our current worldly existence.
Hinduism generally considers morality to be comparable to a bull known as Dharma. In Satya Yuga, the first stage of development, the bull had four legs, and in each age morality is reduced by a quarter. By the age of Kali, morality will be reduced to only a quarter of that of the golden age. Thus, the bull will only have one leg: morality will wait on men.[2][3]
Kali Yuga is associated with the apocalypse demon Kali, not be confused with the goddess Kālī, as these are unrelated words in the Sanskrit language. The "Kali" of Kali Yuga means "strife, discord, quarrel, or contention."
Avarice and wrath will be common, men will openly display animosity towards each other. Ignorance of Dharma will occur. Lust will be viewed as being socially acceptable. People will have thoughts of murder for no justification, and they will see nothing wrong with that mind-set.
People will be inclined to follow false sciences. Family murders will also occur. People will see those who are helpless as easy targets and remove everything from them.
Many other unwanted changes will occur. The right hand will deceive the left, and the left the right. Men with false reputation of learning will teach the Truth. The old will betray the innocence of the young, and the young will betray the dotage of the old. Cowards will have a reputation for bravery, and the brave will be enervated cowards. People will not trust anyone in the world, not even their immediate family. Husband and wife will find contempt in each other.
In Kali Yuga, even pre-teenage girls will get pregnant. The primary cause will be the social acceptance of sexual intercourse as being the central requirement of life.
It is believed that sin will increase exponentially, whilst virtue will fade and cease to flourish. People will take vows only to break them soon after.
Death and famine will be everywhere. Men will have lustful thoughts, and so will women. People will without reason destroy trees and gardens. Men will commit murder. There will be no respect for animals, and meat eating will start.
People will become addicted to intoxicating drinks. Men will find their jobs stressful and will go to retreats to escape their work.
Gurus will no longer be respected and their students will attempt to injure them. Their teachings will be insulted and followers of Kama will wrest control of the mind from all human beings.
As the sin increases exponentially, so will the incidence of divine justice and wrath.
Dharma is also used to refer to the teachings of the Buddha, not in the context of the words of one man, even an enlightened man, but as a reflection of natural law which was re-discovered by this man and shared with the world. A person who lives their life with an understanding of this natural law, is a "dhammic" person, which is often translated as "righteous".
not trying to preach.. not trying to even remotely influence you. I dont care what you call god, i dont care how or who u worship,i dont care what religion you believe in.
All i ask you is this ... do we need a religion?
Is religion our identity?
Are we doing justice to the one chance that we know of ? LIFE
or do we still choose be ignorant?
Do we still go looking for answers that are wriiten down somewhere?
What do u plan on doing?

loss of words
1. Terror strikes India- headlines..INDIA's 9/11 wrote one channel. Mumbai Massacre wrote another.ENOUGH IS ENOUGH... said a well known channel.I had varied choices to switch my remote to , to get a better coverage of what exactly was happening in my own country.Sadly, noone was intrested in giving the news. Some were buzy in interveiwing celebs, while others were trashing the political leaders of both the countries, and there were some ridiculous channels interveiwing the terrorist.. or so they claim.. all competing for TRP's.
Trashy reports,Mind numbing stupid page three celebs, and oh yes, What was amithabh bachchan thinking ? and ofcourse, how scared were the page 3 celebs becoz of the terror attacks the most important issue to talk about!
2.While this was the drama happening at one end, the otherend had even a more colourful, if not better approach.. political leaders playing the blame game...its sad for the aam admi..poor guy screaming around and asking everyone to stop this nonsense and tell him why he should be paying so much of taxes, for his protection when noone is ready to protect him or his family.
NSG commando's - being thankled by the millions..mumbai police...paying salute and homage to the 3 top cops .. Salaskar, Karkare,Ashoke Kamte the prime brave cops who got killed during the encounter. Some say it was the police gear that was not adequate enough.Mind you they both were not the favourites of the political leaders. One was an encounter specialist while the was heading the anti terror squad.Sorry i was not able to read about the constables wholost thier lives, you see, simply because it was not exciting a news or so the media thought.
3.Oh yes, congress unaffected so far...BJP leaders tossing and turning thier heads, " eh wat new strategies do we implement? Narendra Modi already said that gujrat government shall give a crore to the brave mumbai policemen who lost thier lives" and yes " Pakistan accusing India, and well India deciding whether or not India should wage a war.Oh you want to know what i feel?
War is not any solution..and yea if you are thinking whom to vote, and you want a change so bad, why dont you get ur hands dirty and make a poiltical party who shall govern without having any greed! huh? wat are you saying? i cant hear you?
4.Did some one forget the brave aam admi who were working in the taj?there are many such stories, of brave Indian hoput thier lives on the line to save people.. not americans, pakistani, australians, bangladeshis, or french or spanish...PEOPLE.. human beings.BARKHA DUTT___u missed out on these brave men who DID ALL THE SAVING WITHOUT A GUN>> AT A GUNPOINT!
5. you want to know what we INDIANS are thinking? stop this sensationalisation.. do ur job.. get us the NEWS! Understand that the candle light will bring nothing, realise that majority of INDIA is still UNEDUCATED.. THEY DONT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!THEY DONT UNDERSTAND what DEMOCRACY, SECULARISM, RIGHTS mean in the first place!!
Politicians...im not asking anything of you, all im asking you is to be brave :).. do politics
politics is not bad .. contrary to popular belief.. lead your country, educate ur countrymen.Think about the future of ur family member if not ur countrymen..What will money buy, if u have have a country to govern?

mumbai seige 2008 ..bg
I would like to critique what Mr Baker claimed. It is for everybody especially for those who are still learning about Indian society.
1. First of all, I guess India is the only big democracy where a particular community has different social laws. Yes, I am talking about Muslims. In India, Muslims follow a different code of conduct than people from other religions. What it means is that they can do Polygamy and multiple marriages and it is still legal. This was done to appease muslims because they refused to accept laws that everybody else followed. Where else does that happen?? In USA can you expect different laws for Hispanics or blacks or Jews or Muslims or Catholics???
2. The flash point between Hindus and Muslims as they say is Kashmir. Kashmir is the only province in India where any Indian from any other province CAN NOT buy any property. Mind you, Kashmiris can buy land at any place in India. This was done to appease muslims. But muslims were still not happy, so they kicked out 400,000 hindus out of kashmir in 1989-1990. Thousands of hindus were killed and innocent women were raped. But they were still not satisfied, so started their killing spree in other parts of the country, after hindus were nearly ethnically cleansed in Kashmir. This can be equated to ethnic cleaning of Red Indians or ethic cleansing of Aborigines in Australia.
3. Aryan Baker has argued that Muslims lack in education and jobs. But he totally forgot that most of the muslims in India are concentrated in UP, Bihar, Assam and West Bengal. And mind you these states are the poorest in India. So it is not just muslims, even the hindus in these provinces are very very poor. He forgot that Muslims in provinces like Rajsthan, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu and all are very prosperous.
4. And most importantly, he forgot that Islamic terrorism is not just in India, it is in Pakistan, Indonesia, China, Russia, Briton and USA.
So, are muslims ill treated every where in the globe????????
Why these experts do not admit that there are some muslim people who are trying to exploit the whole muslim religion for their own benefits??

this is all with the back drop of the mumbai massacre 27/11/08
its horrendous , outrageous, and the audacity is not tolerable.
t's an oxymoron, Larry, a war on war, a war on terrorism.
You know, terrorists call mechanized death from 35,000 feet above sea level with a press of a button also terror. We don't call it that, because our soldiers are wearing uniforms. They don't see what is happening, and innocent people are being killed. So, you know, terror is a term that you apply to the other.
King: Thanks, Deepak Chopra, as always, extraordinarily enlightening.Tuesday, November 25, 2008
pacy feelings
almost like im waiting to hear a result.
but only thing is im not.
i wonder why at times, my heart keeps beating so fast like its anticipating something, some form of excitement, some form of adventure, some sort of discovery.
yet its nothing but boredom there.
im thinking what it can be, i cant seem to understand...my dreams are becoming more adventurous, more daring, more colorful
yet when i open my eyes, everything is the same. The same pale yellow walls, the same mundane mondays, the same songs playing in the surrounding, the same office
what can it be?

http://climatecrisis.net/takeaction/whatyoucando/index6.html
Its the human greed that is killing humanity today, and if we are unable to curb that, then we are unable to possess a future. Thats a heavy price to pay.
look at it this way: the life that we know of, exists only on a small dot named Earth. Its our only home in the whole of universe. It is ours to save or destroy.
I dont expect people to change, but ill do my best.Ill try to be responsible.
We all are going down anyways, why not atleast try.Its worth the effort.By chance if you happen to surf, and read this article. Its my request that you do something about it as well.
So that the future never questions us: why did you atleast not try.

wondering..hmm
Well at times when i thought im really good at it, i get reviews which are mixed, and that puts me back to square one: What should i be doing? Well the answer is very simple, do what you think suits you.But i really cannot judge what i am really good in.
So the debate starts all over again in my head, what should i be doing?well im not a good student, and that pretty much establishes the fact that i wont get good scores in CAT, or GRE's so where do i stand, so far as art in concern, i really enjoy it, but hell noone can make me sit for days in and out expect me to draw like a crazy maniac, and be obsessed about it.. so i guess even though i am an average animator...im not enjoying the challenge.Come on, i need to do more than just draw...
here i am in anad firm, well im enjoying the fact that i can draw, design, play with colours and ideas alot...yet somehow, some really dont get it...(thats just my take)and like my director said opinions are like arseholes: everyone has it...
i really think so too. But ow can you convince people that what you are doing is bold and fresh?when all they have is BORING colour schemes and patterns?
They want traditional, same stuff that every other guy does, and everytime there is something new that i try it backfires, on commercial grounds, although most of the people i know like it .
Then again.. its a debatable topic. So what i am really saying is i dont wanna be back to
square one! :(
I sure hope this time ive made it past one.

panda!

i have had loads of friends..
there were ones , who deceived, ones who i ran away from, ones who ran away from me, ones who disappeared, and ones who are just there..
and amongst all of them was a lil panda bear, all confused, and in shock, coz life just hit her.. not many know who she is, im not quiet sure she knows who she is...still trying to cope with the fact that she is born in the first place..very misunderstood soul, but one of the very few, who really took pains to realize why i traumatized her so much with silence. One of the few to realize, why i just dont feel like talking, one of the few, who never questioned me of that coldness, and let me just be existing.
there is so much she has given to me...a smile everyday, stupid jokes, when i required one, unnecessary tensions, that i could do without, but i would be just existing..
thanks a ton for bringing PINK back in my life, and letting me realize how important it is to let go ...
